My Favourite Eye Shadow Brushes

Hello Lovely Readers,

Makeup brushes, where would we be without them? How would we place that perfectly coloured eye shadow or blend that harsh line? Brushes, the wonder tools, You need them now! Here are my favourite eye shadow brushes that I use on a daily basis as well as some honorable mentions that are my go to for more complex eye looks.

Revlon Dual Ended Eye Shadow Brush.
This is out of the Revlon brush set you can buy at any revlon counter.
This is my number one medium shader brush! I have used it for years, this is out of my first ever real brush set. Its fantastic for placing eye shadow, I usually only use the shader end but the liner/eyebrow end is great as well. This brush is lovely and soft and has lasted so well. The brush set I believe is roughly $45 - $50.

C433 Pro Blending Fluff Brush.
This is out of my brush set I got from college, I'm sorry I don't know the brand. I use this brush to place and blend my crease colours. I use it either on point or turn it on its side to blow colour out into a smoky eye. It is a little rough but works so well. A firm yet fluffy blending brush is ideal for any eye shadow brush kit.

Gorgeous Cosmetics #B113 Brush.
I love this large fluffy blending brush so much, it's so soft and blends colour so lightly. I generally use this to soften harsh lines and also to blend in a transition colour between my crease and brow bone highlight.  It is great for creating a smoky eye as well. The downside, this brush is $41, but so worth it. Available from Gorgeous Cosmetics, in store, online or at select Terry White Chemists.

E.L.F Professional Blending Eye Brush.
I use this brush mainly for my brow bone highlight and inner corner highlight. It's relatively new to my brush collection but became a quick fave. Its very soft and its perfectly domed shape makes it ideal for blending harsh lines and softly placing crease colours. It is fairly dense and worth the $3. Available at Kmart Australia.

Honorable Mentions

Large Flat Shader Brush.
This is out of the brush kit I got given at college, I'm sorry I don't know the brand. Its great for shading big areas such as the entire lid. I use it to put down my base colour or set a cream eyeshadow. It's big surface area makes colour the whole lid a breeze.

Eyeliner / Eyebrow Brush.
This is also out of my college kit, sorry again. This is fantastic, I mean I really LOVE this brush for applying gel or cream eyeliner. I've also used it to get colour off an eyebrow or eyeliner pencil to keep things hygenic if the pencil wouldn't apply without breaking. This brush create a perfect straight line when I attempt a winged liner.

Avon Dual Ended Fluffy Blending and Eyeliner / Eyebrow Brush.
I got this as a free gift with purchase but you can now buy them individually from Avon Australia. I mainly use the fluffy blending side of this brush for blending out my crease or softening harsh lines. Also great for placing a transition or highlight shade. It's my multi use brush by the looks of it.

Manicare Artiste Professional Rounded Crease Brush - 33.
This was my go to crease brush until I got my elf and college brushes. When I want a defined crease or want to keep the colour in a certain area I use this baby.  It is so soft and has lasted many years of use, it proves if you look after your brushes they will last.  I'm pretty sure this brush is around the $15 mark (couldn't find out online) available from Priceline or Myer.

Sorry this post is so long, I can talk forever.

I hope my favourite brushes help you if your putting together a brush kit, but it all depends on the looks you want to create with them, there are so many available. Not all cheap brushes are bad, E.L.F for instance, excellent price point, excellent quality.

Let me know what your favourite, go to brush are, there's always room to expand!

Looking forward to our next meeting,

Shannon.
